I've been wanting to dye or highlight my hair for a while. I would like to either put dark burgandy or dark red highlights in it or dye it black with a deep red/burgandy tint. Which would be best given my skin tone? or are there other colors that wouls look best on me? BTW my natural hair color is dark brown. any help would be appreciated. TY

Dark brown would look good on you. If you aren't very dark skinned, I would'nt die it black because it could look too extreme..I would go with dark brown.

you sound just beautiful, I would suggest softest brown with no color high lights.....it's just so over used....maybe a soft honey blond if you do it lightly....using a soft brown eyeliner with little or no eyelash makeup. good luck...

Sweetie, I have cousins that are high yellow too with green eyes, and let me tell you coloring your hair darker is not the way to go. It will look very harsh against the very bright skin you have. I think you should do a base color which would be light brown,and then get honey blond highlights put in. Dark hair is not going to flatter your skin complexion. It's just going to make you look paler. I'm light caramel, and I usually will color my hair a light golden brown to match my skin tone, and I get so many compliments about it. I know your a lot lighter, but you could get away with a really bright color, and it will give your skin a really nice glow if you went with the honey blond highlights. You sound like a pretty girl so choose something that will continue to bring out your beauty!

You would actually look very pretty in many colors. A medium, golden or reddish brown would be gorgeous if you wanted to go lighter. Another option that I think would be pretty that I don't recommend often is a soft, natural black. It would be a great contrast with your green eyes and lighter skin.
