I noticed this right after I gave birth. I didn't ever try to use anything, because it wasn't noticeable amounts of hair I was losing, but I can tell you that for me after about 8-9 months, I have basically stopped "losing hair." My guess is that it is a hormone thing, and as your hormones level out, this problem will fade. Otherwise, check with your doctor because it could be a sign of a bigger problem!

you should check with your doctor - it could be a hormone imbalance.

Are you getting enough vitamins and nutrients in your body? Sometimes lack of iron and/or other vitamins can make your hair fall out a little bit. If you're really worried about it I would talk to your doctor and ask her about it.

Try Vitamin E capsules and Perm Repair cream. You can use it whether you have a perm or not and it grows your hair back nicely.

Unfortunately, this is caused by hormonal changes. Keep taking your multivitamin and deep condition your hair once a week. I tried a mix of avocado, almond and vitamin E oils. Mix, warm it up, put on your hair and wrap your hair with saran wrap. Let penetrate, then shampoo ans used alight conditioner. I found that hair rollers were better that to blow drying.

When you were pregnant, all the extra estrogen caused your hair to thicken and grow. What you are losing now is the new growth, now that you are no longer producing the excess estrogen. It usually takes 2-4 months from the time of birth to start noticing the effects of estrogen loss, which is why you are just now seeing it. It is your hair going into the resting phase (telogen). It should stop coming out in about a month. However, if it continues longer, see a dermotologist and then an endocrinologist. Have your estrogen checked at that point as it may have dropped too low, thus allowing your natural testosterone (yes, we women have it too) to create DHT, which attacks your hair follicles.

Basically while you are pregnant the hormones in your body keep the normal cycle from happening. Normally, your hair will shed naturally and slowly to the point that you really don't notice it. The hormones in your body during pregnancy keep that from happening completely. About 3 months after and later, your hormone levels start to go back to normal. At this point, all the hair that has been staying because of the hormones begins falls out naturally. This is why many women's hair gets much thicker during pregnancy. If it feels like you are losing more then before you ever got pregnant, I would definately discuss it with your doctor. I am 33 weeks pregnant and close to having my 3rd child. I have gone through this everytime. My hair gets extremely thick, and then once I have had the baby, within a few months, it starts to shed. Every woman is different in the amounts that they retain/lose post pregnancy. Keep in mind this is a normal occurance. I hope this helps.
