You can do it with gels but most gels are made for White hair and the alcohol in the gels could be very drying to your hair. I would say do it for special occasions but take the time to wash it out. Don't leave in too long.

use a blow out quit to get rid of your curls or try an straighten it with a hot comb and then get some spritz and shape your speaks and then apply to the spikes clear white gel.

stick your finger in a light socket then turn it on, only do this for 3 seconds unless your hair is real nappy then go for 5 to 7 seconds, that should do it.
