My name is Rashad and I am 16 trying to grow my hair out. It seems to take a long time and the only length that my hair has obtain is that of a person that can wear those little curls that short haired people where. I was my hair about maybe every two days. And 1 out of two days i condition it. I use DAX and Doo Groo and I just recieved a trim about a month ago. What should U go to make my hair grow faster.

unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot you can do to make hair grow faster. eat healthy and don't damage your hair as this will allow it to remain strong. trims will also keep your hair shaft strong by reducing breakage - split ends can travel up the entire shaft! on the plus side, hair tends to grow faster in the summer.

as to your question of why african american hair grows slower, i'm not sure that it actually does. hair texture will affect how much the hair APPEARS to have grown. example, straight hair appears to grow faster than curly hair because it lays flat, whereas curly hair must grow in a spiral. the average person grows hair at about 1/2 inch per month (again, slightly faster in the summer months). it always seems to grow slower when you are trying to grow it out!

Umm, My hair is short and i was trying to grow it back out and i just used a product called doo gro, i got it from wal mart. It sped up the growing process, and it made my hair stronger. you should use the whole line of product so that you will get the best results.

Stay away from DAX and Doo Gro. The key to growing hair is to feed it from inside out; meaning eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water.
