Hi, I'm British Caribbean
and have tried all sorts with my hair with minimal damage to its already dry, fragile, over-processed, frizzy state!
to get it really smooth and straight, I do weekly wash and deep condition, apply leave in conditioner, straightening cream/balm, tie in a pony tail, wrap, leave to dry naturally and then straightening irons with a little serum and Olive Oil sheen spray to finish

Just leave your hair alone for a while. Shampoo it and condition it like u normally would. The hair will recover on its own as time goes by but if it is bothering u too much right now then just go to the salon and let a professional fix it for u.
