Relaxed hair for African-Americans?
Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo every 7-14 days and deep condition once a week also. Air dry as much as possible, you can avoid cutting your ends if you can take care of your hair. i only cut mine twice a year and my hair is long and healthy. Use light scalp oils and apply a moisturizers on your strands or spray with a leave in conditioner every other day on the non wash days.
try this site, its really good. its just free info on how to grow long african american hair. good luck.

okay wash your hair every weekend, clip your ends every month, don't use a lot of oil. Trying using some type of shampoo and conditioner for RELAXED, or use like Pantene Pro V. Get touch ups every 1-2 months.
