good luck, i'm white but my hair grows really slow too. i've tried the shampoo thats supposed to make it grow and all it does is make your hair super poofy. jello is supposed to help, i've tried eating it and putting the mix in my hair, that didn't work for me either. trimming about 1/2 and inch off ever 6-8 weeks seems to help a little but maybe thats my imagination. I had a friend who is african american and her hair was about at her chin and it took her from 8th grade to 11th grade to get it just past her shoulders. then i have another african american friend and she has to trim 2 inches off every month because thats how fast it grows. being out in the sun in the summer makes my hair grow faster than it does when i'm inside all winter.
