My mother has locks...and she is killing herself over gray hairs in the front. She uses Feria (I think by L'Oreal), in this auburn color. Locks are really hard to color, and it does great for her. I'm sure that it would work wonderful for you as well.

Go to a beauty supply store. Like Sally's. The hair color at the beauty supplies will have the base tone right on the bottle. The hair color at the beauty supply are different then boxed market brands. I've used Wella in the past.
