I am an african american mom intersted in learning to cut my boys hair. Can I learn how to do that??

I am looking for ways to save money. I think one way of doing this would be to learn how to cut my two boys hair. It can get rather expensive because it needs cutting every two weeks and sometimes every week. Can anyone offer advice on what I can do without going to school. This is something that I desperately want to do but i do not want to have them looking ridiculous in the process.

Well, I would ask a male friend of yours, to either teach you or do it himself. I know tons of guys who cut their own hair, and they never went to school for it. A girlfriend of mine cuts her sons hair, and at first when she was learning it did look a little sloppy, but nothing to crazy, not really noticeable. But over time she got pretty good at it.

also a lot of female hair dressers know the basics of cutting male hair, so if you have a friend who is a hair dresser you could ask them for tips or if your close with your hair dresser you can ask her as well

:)

Do what i did wait until summer time. when you can practice on them. Get some guards for the clippers so that you won't cut much off at first. By the time you do this a few times you will get the trick. The clippers are the key you want some good ones. Don't cut against the grain so what i mean is don't cut your kids hair from the front to the back.
